Warranty

All new products sold by Osodoso-store are covered by a two (2)-year legal guarantee from the date of delivery, in accordance with EU Directive 2019/771 and Spanish Royal Decree-Law 7/2021.

This legal guarantee covers any lack of conformity that existed at the time of delivery.

We hand-pick our suppliers and stand behind the quality of every product we sell — from business servers to storage solutions.

Where applicable, we recommend having your item checked and serviced annually. Should your goods become faulty, the manufacturer’s warranty will apply if the defect falls within its warranty terms.

How the Warranty Process Works

1. Submit a warranty request.

Fill out our contact form with your order number and a short description of the problem.

2. Receive your warranty number.

We will email you a warranty number and detailed return instructions.

3. Send the item for inspection.

All necessary shipping details will be provided in the confirmation email.

4. Confirmation of receipt.

Once we receive your product, you will get a confirmation email.

5. Product inspection and diagnostics.

The product will be inspected by our technician and, if necessary, by the supplier or manufacturer.

6. Notification.

You will be informed of the result — repair, replacement, or other resolution — typically within 10–14 business days after receipt.

Warranty processing typically takes 10–14 working days after the item is received. If the defect is confirmed, Osodoso-store will cover the cost of return shipping or reimburse the Customer. If no manufacturing defect is found, the Customer may choose to have the item returned at their own expense.

Important Information

Warranty Terms

The Customer is responsible for adequate packaging during shipment. The risk of loss remains with the Customer until the product reaches Osodoso-store or its authorized service partner.

We are not liable for loss or damage that occurs during shipping.

What about the warranty?

Almost every product we sell comes with a manufacturer’s warranty. However, how this warranty works and its terms may vary depending on the brand or product. So, we’d like to explain in more detail what we mean by warranty, common exclusions, and service points. This list of exclusions and differences can be confusing, so buckle up—let’s get started!

What does your warranty cover?

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, consumable parts (e.g., batteries, thermal paste), improper use, unauthorized repairs, modifications, or damage resulting from external factors such as moisture, heat, or power surges.

Rust and Warranty

Knives rust. That’s a fact. Even if a knife is made of “stainless” steel, it can still rust. After all, it’s not “stainless.” It’s the result of exposure to external factors: moisture, acids, or salt. Or a combination of these. Imagine salty sea air or fruit acids. Simply clean and maintain the product thoroughly. If necessary, you can use Flitz rust remover. This is not covered by the warranty.

Modifications and Disassembly

For many products, the following rule applies: if you make any modifications to the design yourself, your warranty is void. Sharpening a knife, of course, is not covered by the warranty, as it is necessary maintenance. But as soon as you start filing, painting, grinding, welding, anodizing, etc., your warranty is immediately voided. Some manufacturers take a more pragmatic approach: minor modifications the handle won’t affect the blade, making them more forgiving. But never assume they will be!

Disassembling them can also void the warranty. Remember those famous stickers on electronics: “Warranty void if seal is broken?” However, the solutions to this problem vary by brand. Always check the manufacturer’s website before taking out a tool kit.

Portability and Warranty

Some brands are very strict about providing a warranty only to the original owner of the product. One reason is that they assume a user manual was included in the box with the original purchase to ensure proper use. If it’s a used product, a manual isn’t always included.

Batteries and Warranty

Regarding batteries, the warranty is a little more complicated. Many flashlights, even those with rechargeable batteries, come with a five-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. However, this applies to the flashlight itself, not the battery. Some manufacturers don’t provide a warranty on the battery itself at all, while others only offer a six-month warranty.

This is because batteries are considered consumer products. Just as you need vacuum bags to operate your vacuum cleaner, you need a battery to power your light. A vacuum bag won’t last forever, even if you empty it occasionally. The same applies to batteries. On average, you charge a lithium-ion battery 500 times, after which it essentially discharges. How you handle the battery also determines how well it continues to perform. Do you fully charge it and then completely discharge it? Or do you leave it discharged for too long, or consequently overcharge it on a faulty charger? Are you storing it in a hot or very cold environment? These things can’t be verified in the event of a warranty claim. Keep in mind that batteries are almost never covered by warranty.
